This just in from ZipTy HQ...the unit was recently race tested at Glen Helen. Here's a pic.


The first production units are in and almost ready to ship. The first 20 are actually signed by Ty so they are a functional collectors item too. I held one in my hand this week and they are some of the best looking fins yet. Highly polished yet the same durable design.

The new Shark Fins will need some support equipment to make them work right. At the very least, since the Shark Fin also acts as the caliper mount, a longer brake line will be required. The other option is to do the complete bullet proof install. This will be sold as a kit that includes the Shark Fin, big bike caliper, master cyclinder, and brake line. Kids can be hard on rear brakes and heat induced fade has been a problem, so by going this route, you can be assured your little ripper won't have to worry about that anymore.

The 85 Shark Fin system is now ready for prime time! The ZipTy Race team and some customers have been doing final product testing and I'm happy to report that all the components needed to install this awesome upgrade have been finalized. This setup will work with the stock rotor and solves two problems at once. The protection needed for competition, and elimination of the problematic rear brake fade and lock up issues that plague both the Husky and KTM 85cc bikes.
