• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi folks,
Proud new owner of a 2008 TE-610. I wowuld like to get a factory service manual for the bike and would like opinions.

1. Are they available?
2. Are they informative?
3. Where is the bast place to get one. Dealer or other source?
4. Is there anything available that is better than a factory manual?

Thanks a bunch!

I got mine from Hall's too. I printed it out double-sided and put it in a binder with section dividers. Makes it a lot easier when you need to look something up. The only drawback is that the manual is in several languages and isn't divided up by language like the owner's manual.

I'd pay another $10 (have the CD from Hall's) just to get an English-only version!

Yah I wish it was english only,:banghead: and written in english terms also. Something lost in the translation. So, I read english, the wife reads the German and we can talk to each other about what in the heck are they talking about. :excuseme:

Thanks MotoSteve, that will help me get "get to know" the 2006 sm610 that I don't have just yet. :D Cobweb will still need the current version to cover the fuel injection stuff. If I had an '08 I'd get the english version anyway, just to not have to wade through 5 languages for most work.

Here is a list of what they have for downloading.
