  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I'm searching for a complete set of 1998 wr250 plastics with or without stickers/decals if you know someone who has some please direct them to this thread. Also is there a way to convert my plastics to a different year or type?.
 
there are n spare 98-99 plastic parts available
I have searched everywhere
don't know that there were enough produced to get an aftermarket companies interest in making them
 
Im going to be converting over to 2004 plastics I've got the subframe, tank and seat hoping they all fit which they should. ill take photos and post them on this thread.
 
Justintendo, i have 94 WXE 250 with broken radiator shouds and i dont found these shrouds around me because i am from Bulgaria Europe, these bikes are not very popular here. I found only one bike for parts with radiator shrouds like yours. If i buy radiator shrouds i have to buy the tank and seat? is it true? Sorry for my bad english. :doh:

the shrouds for your 94 are available from dc plastic..
 
The delivery from DC Plastics is 70+ dollars and not worth it. here I can get tank, radiator shrouds and seat from 98 WR 360 like yours for 120 dollars used. Is there any slower and cheaper delivery?
 
not sure but my bike is a 95 with a 98 seat cover currently. waiting on the original 95 style to be returned from a seat cover maker. maybe try with someone that deals with dc in europe? i know HVA factory does.
 
I think the 95 and 98 seat are the same, so is the tank. The body work is basically the same except the 95 has 2 piece shrouds and the 98 has 1 piece shrouds. The fenders and side panels are the same.
 
yup, same seat, different cover. i got halls last nos 98 seat at a good price so i couldnt pass it up
