• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pro Class
Well Husky fans I wish I could post good news but there is none.
There were 267 racers that finished and 27 that DNF

Read it and weep or go buy orange http://www.moto-tally.com/NHHA/Results.aspx

From what is posted on the results there were only 2 yes repete only 2 HUSKY entered in the race

One was my son on a stock 125 racing against all the 200s in the 0/200 expert finished 2nd in class and 46th overall
The other one was mine a WR 300 in the 50 expert 0/to open 7th in class 85 overall

If Husky says they build race bikes why is it no one comes to the race on one.Why is it day after day year after year I feel I am the only Husky out there. There was a time when I felt Husky really wanted to go racing.Back when you could pick up the phone call people like Rob Keith,Eraldo at FBF,Scot Harden even Mark Brady would answer the phone and try to help.
Then we had Zip Ty Racing for the last few years and it really looked like Husky was on the move.Well they are all gone even the Husky Racers have been fired or moved on.
The Nationals draw all the major FACTORY TEAMS and many private teams on Factory Supported bikes. They were all there BUT HUSKY WHY IS THAT.
Husky has a new Corporate Office now located in Southern Calif. Loaded with more employee then we have had in years at Husky .Yet I saw no one from Husky out at the race. Not even a small booth with info on the bikes nothing. I did see Ty Davis riding around on a Husky but he no longer works there
I feel if Husky wants to sell dirt bikes out west against a field of ORANGE then they need to promote them.Best way to do that is a Dirt Bike Race Team. Best thing Husky had last year promoting there RACE bikes was ZipTy Racing. Now what do they have?
If Husky want to promote Dual Sport then say so.Because there employee at the new Corporate offices do go to Dual Sport Events.Maybe this comming weeken when Husky has there corporate meeting/get together out in the desert at Ransberg Ca they can talk about it .

Maybe it is time as RACE FANS for the rest of us to get Husky to PLEASE give us something to root for. If you want to beat KTM then please prove it.Just look at the Results {Husky} and answer this question WHY ARE YOU NOT THERE?
If some one out there has a way to foward this to Husky please do so.Because we need to get there attention.

Not arguing the lack of our fave brand at the west races. But I think alot of folks are blinded by Kato, the top 20 of this Nat saw 8KAW,7KTM,4HON,2YAM, so its really not a Kato show at all its just non husky, hbg, gas, SUZ etc top 20 show.
note Big Dave Pearson (not on a HON).

That might be true for the top 20 who are trying to get some type of pay back for the bike company they ride for.But move on down the line to where the rest of us are and you will see more orange then any other bike.I am not saying KTM builds a better bike They just promote and market a better bike and it seem to work. Now with Husky not having any west coast race team and the fact no one was at Round 1 from Husky there went that type of marking. If i was a new buyer looking for a bike the lack of a Husky present might have me looking eles ware.

How cheap is it to put every top district rider on a bike and throw little cash his/her way? Give them a bike, let them maintain/parts asstance. At end of year, put all the stock parts back on it and sell it used @ end of year. How reasonable is that for advertising. Depreciate them as demos. Best advertising. I agree, no presence is bad. Best thing is to get employees to promote the business and get out and be active with customers.

We use to have deal that we paid dealer x amount dollars every month from resale to what year end value was and got new bike every year.

I would honestly buy a bike if George would get a rider and campaign it but Husky probably wouldn't even supply parts at wholesale to him.

Glad to see you in the Race. Congratulations on your finish! Johnson Valley is brutal! 1st lap We were rooting for you! My Wife and I were sitting on our Husqvarnas after you leave the Pit Row just after the first rock hill!

My Son wants to get back into Desert Races! Someday

For starters the CR 125 is tuff. That bike my son was on is a 2008 I won a National # 1 plate on it in 2008. My older son won a National # 1 plate on it is 2009 and if all goes as planned my son you saw wants to win a National # 1 plate for 2012.Just last weeken at the first race he got 5th overall and 1st 125 against over 300 starter.I have a few 125s so any thime your son wants to try one let me know.Round 2 is next weeken maybe there will be more Husky there. It is hard to convince some one to buy a Husky 125 when the AMA rules say the class is 0 to 200.So right off the bat you are racing against bike with a much bigger motor. The little 125 can really out run a KTM 200 and the new Husky are 150 so that might even be better.
It really is time to retire my little little 125. I have been talking to Ty at Zip Ty racing about building a 2012 150.He just finished my CR 300 and it is perfect. If only I was younger
