• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

RORR / Hammer Run

I'm riding day two of the Hammer Run. LOVE that ride. I'll be there on my TE250/300. Maybe on my CR125. Haven't decided, yet.

I'll be at the Hammer Run on my '09 WR125, with friend on his '09 TE610 (Mutt and Jeff in bikes and size!) Dave, maybe we can have that beer!

Camping or lodging????
I have a reservation at the Quality Inn.
Would love to see how the WR 125 feels, they seem to be all the rave.

Do you have the Quality Inn info? You're more than welcome to a short spin on the 125.

I think the hotel website is listed on the event flyer also.

I won't be there because I had a bad surfing accident and now need a complete rhinoplasty scheduled on 10/20. I'll post up pics at some point but I can't ride again until next year.

Gandalf, see if the surgeon will give you a nice big honker like Ian McKellen in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Like you need any more reason for people to associate you with that hobbit stuff...

Dang surfing is sooo dangerous, motorcycles are sooo much safer!!!

Sorry for the mishap get back to it soon!! (motos and surfing)
(one of our crew broke a few of his teeth recently, surfing)

Glad it wasn't my jaw or teeth, ouch!

If I wake up with Ian McKellen's nose, I'm going to grow my hair long again for sure and it's already pretty grey.

Maybe next week, I'll post or PM a pic of before and after injury and surgery! I think for Halloween I'll just put on a flyers jersey and hope I don't scare the neighborhood kids too much.

Trailer is packed...........is it Friday yet????????????
I will be on my trusty 510, loaning my 300 pumpkin to a friend, ready for a great weekend

Can't wait either. It's my first time doing this ride. It gets sooo much hype I couldn't leave it alone this year. See you up there Mike, hit me on my cell.

Lee

Will do Lee......
Hey Toy Tech, nice to see ya posting up.
Twist it you say, just remember when I get the ole girl a rollin you best not be doing a fast stopping infront of me unless you want to be diggin a MotoZ tire from your backside.

I heard it was a mud bath and as a result more like an enduro. I heard one guy had his DR650 standing straight up(wheelie) in a mud pit. Wish I was there.

Norm, was looking for "Mutt and Jeff".
Saw plenty of 610's but no 125's anywhere:excuseme:
Did ya make the ride???

Unfortunately my buddy Greg (Mutt) with the 610 tweaked his wrist riding earlier in the week. We decided since we had passes to ride, we'd do something closer to home and a little more flexible than the Hammer Run. It turned out to be a good call, as his wrist wouldn't have held up.
