• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Robertaccio's TE300 "Bullet Proof Bling" Thread........

So you have no rebound adjustment on top anymore or 2 ways to fine tune it?

Did you ever consider stillwell or kreft for your 300? The first has some info on the 4cs and kreft has a pretty expensive fix, like $925 for parts. Not including springs and the other services.

I have a 2006 Wr 250 I just cant stop throwing the check book at It has a Ohlien on the rear and I spend a lot of time getting a set of the new 48mm forks off like a 449/511 on it. After I rode it with the stock 48 I said boy that was a waste of time. But then I sent the 48 to Ty and the forks work almost as good as my Ohleins on my CR300. Now I have a 250 practice bike that works like my CR300 race bike.

Now as for those new 4cs Husky forks I was at Tys today and he showed me a box FULL of some new trick valve adjuster thing he made up to make them work. I do not understand this stuff but I do understand looking at a part that is well made.

SO Mr Robert your quest for a good handling new Husky is over I saw something you need to get

yes I have a tube......Bridgestone HD, Mousse on B/O.

For Ajax, The ZipTy 4CS treatment/reconfigure is on my list, pending more test and set up time, we are doing more testing this weekend. Suspension tech will have his mobile shop on site.

No Max my machine is still 4CS configured, I was referring to an FE350 that ZipTy just did for another AMA hall of fame rider."1000 times better was his quote about his reconfigured forks.

see what Motosportz wrote, I totally agree, many top tier shops and techs out there, lots of choices.

The issue that has been and is selling me on on ZipTy is this...Ive had Ty (he does these himself) retune my 2011 TE310 after blowing my shock at a 2 qualifier then I gave him my TXC310R to do.
Ty Davis is not only one of the USA's all time best offroad/mx racers hes a very high level engineering tech as well. Rob on fone"Is my suspesnion stuff ready?" ZipTy racings Danny" Not quite yet Ty is out riding your bike now and testing it". That is the deal closer for me...multi time ISDE US trophy team rider, SX champ, WORCS champ etc etc is out riding my bike to test it and get it dialed in---SOLD!!!

Thank you for switching to our shark fin! We didn't invent the shark fin, but we invented the ability to remove and replace the actual fin itself. The carrier is hardened, so hard that it breaks taps trying to add threads, even when using Maxilube. The fin will easily support the weight of the entire motorcycle.

Add on bullet proofing I mention this all the time--CHECK YOUR SPOKES!!! I have one that is way unwound,,,,almost un screwed. and a few more loose ones as well. I did check my rear sprocket all good back there. and I 1211 threebonded my countershaft sprocket and chain masterlink (these are things I always do)

love this thread and its giving me ideas for my 15 te300

got a question for you, I ride north jersey rocks all day every day and I need a good skid plate that can take a massive hit. how good is that TM design works skid plate..? could it take a massive hit. (example.. jumping over a log and landing in a rock garden smashing the bottom of the bike)

Its really good and made of kind of "dead" material. we ride in really sharp ugly stuff as well its more that sufficient to keep stuff from getting to your cases. I suggest if you do go this route to get the obie linkage attachment to add onto the back of the skid plate

so hows the bike treating you? any more upgrades or ride reports?!?! im still waiting on mine so I gotta read about it

I need to RE-Mention spoke tighteneing/checking/inspection.....I did the tap test prior to the Tecate enduro, seemed a couple were loose. This is one operation that I always bring to my Mechanic at National City Motorcycles (NCM.net).
The 2 owners Rob and Mike are old school perfectionists and spoke experts. I cross racked my TE300 for Rob to have a go at my spokes and went into the sales area to pick up some other stuff. 15-30 mins later I see Rob heading my way.....he had his concern face on. "You would not have been able to finish any race with those spokes, 6 were almost completely unscrewed, 5 were very loose and a few more loose" Check and recheck your spokes**************************************** I believe some of this is related to using mousses with all the grease.

I always check my spokes as part of my post ride check.... ride, wash, check for leaks, check all nuts and bolts, check wheels and tires including spokes...... if you dont keep on ktm spokes you will have beoken spokes then hubs and flats...
