• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Robertaccio's TE300 "Bullet Proof Bling" Thread........

I lowered my float height but when the bike is in the back of the truck the bowl standoff drain still leaks. fuel is off gas in bowl is sloshing around but really a big puddle and muck on my linkage? Go Lower still? I figure when riding it will do the same when bouncing around.

shes got some character now robert! they dont stay pretty for long but thats what they meant for. like that linkage guard. husky make one for 125/310? paranoid about mine, hangs down like a pair of bollocks!

You must be riding like a hero! If it's any consolation, back when LR was winning the Tecate enduro, they would have to replace his swingarm after that one event

PS rear disc guard (shark fin) is a Enduro Engineering piece that i ground the EE emblem off added the 2 swiss cheese holes and bead blasted. I added some other unseen lightening holes as well.

for the swingarm thingy, I dont like eliminating the oem vent hole, breathable hollow psace in a cast alloy piece is a good idea thats why ktm has it, with a little thought I probably would just add another hole after tapping out the original for the piece to mount up onto. The other thing about the piece is that i think they should have projected the leading edge ahead of the forward hanger, not flush with it. (?)

I just hate adding unsprung weight, the sharkfin is heavy all ready, but this hanger guard looks stout,, maybe some swiss cheesing conservatively can be satisfactory.........I cant stand not riding I feel like my A game is rapidly going down the sh&tter....

Robert, I'm pretty sure thats the older model of the Bulletproof swingarm guard. The one that I just picked up definitely has a lip that protects the front chain guide tab. Check out the video on their site and you can see that the new guard is designed a little differently and much better in my opinion.

Should have saved all the jetting and snap money and got a Lectron, talk about 3 stroke. My 02 CR250 is amazing at this point. Smooth as butter, perfect power bottom to top, electric power on the bottom for gnar / mud, rip your head off top end for lightspeed mod and gets ridiculous milage with my new 3-2m metering rod. Rode with a buddy Monday that has a 2013 KTM 300 with Lectron and his bike is electric. Two more customers with Beta 300's who bought Lectrons from me and same results. Ultra smooth power, noticeably better MPG which means longer rides and less weight carried.
