• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Robertaccio TX300

sweeeeeeet !!! good luck with it. sooooooo jealous****************************************!

funny about my name on the bike, I ordered a front number plate from decal mx with my name for the 2014 TE and they sent me a whole stack of name graphics, so my ego figured why are they in my sticker box may as well be on the new bike. problem is now I can be identified at my worst....OMG look at that idiot he even has name on the bike what a goon!

How do you like the powercore/Gnarley combo? I am running same combo on my 2016 (edit, was until I just bent the Powercore last weekend in crash, stocker is going back on)

Looking good Robert. I've ridden the crap out of mine. I have a Moose E-Line Carbon Pipe Guard that has saved the giant stock pipe many times already. My latest crash broke my stock front brake lever so I'm trying to find a substitute. I'm heading out to the shed in a few minutes to try the trackside lever off of my WR300. They are both brembo, so fingers crossed. The other thing I'm going to try is the clutch spring preload mod, I've been reading about.

Robertaccio,
I'm curious, did your bike come with the new upgraded engine case. On Ktmtalk in the two stroke section "17 idler gear" guys are reporting that the engine case that has the idler gear, the support for the idler gear is braking off. There is an upgraded case with the problem sorted out, so KTM must have known about the problem for a while. I'm wondering if the new Husky's are having the same problem.

got my xtrig spring adjuster and my heavier spring 48-260 , after having an xtrig on my last shock I vowed to never again deal with those collars and using a hammer and drift or spanner. For Xtrig I have a 1/4 drive speed handle with a dedicated 8mm socket on it in my tool box.

ran the JD kit set up for altitude and temp used the trail ride chart, which is a leaner range chart, bike ran great , maybe just a small mixture screw adjustment to get it perfect. I have zero "spooge" but just a black exhaust end, 50:1 with shell pump premium, after this tank/can I will go to OEM recommended 60:1 with K2 Maxima synth. I can 100% feel the extreme enduro influence on this bike, it just runs at zero rpm and even pulls from zero rpm. we rode known trails and I was purposly taking stupid lines and gooning around to get a feel for the new machine, the thing is brilliant. I need a bit more preload on my rear spring to find 35/105 I am at 35/108 I want more push in the front, I started with 10 bar to match my 48 spring but went to 9.7 and it made a big difference up front, but that is wth 108 race race sag.

Also note MXA just built up a TC250, they mentioned lots of tuning trouble until they went with 60:1 and things went very well.
60:1= cooler combustion chamber temps that may be one the main contributing factor here. Anyway my bike will be on 60:1 after this initial 50:1 can is done.
