• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Should be a good bunch of riders around woody's -a pumpkin dealer in Perth, if that/s not too far away for you.

On the pulse for that region..as luck would have it, spend summers at a cottage on Otter Lake which is a stones throw from Perth...likely using Woody's for my challenges when self wrenching goes....wrong

Limerick is awesome. Sounds good.

Been out twice to a couple of spots North of Kingston...gotta love that blue plate to get to and from ;) Looks like things are drying up pretty quickly. Have a buddy who has a truck and a trailer. Keep me posted on the trails out your way, and when good and dry, would love to get together and go for a rip.

I've raced MTB on the trails in Glenburnie many times and they rock. The key people behind those trails also do Moto, so maybe you were in the same area.

Ottawa still has a lot of snow so Limerick will be closed for a while.

Hoping southern Ontario is better because the Beagle Bash enduro and trail ride are in only two weeks.

Cheers,

Hehehe small world. I also race MTB. Generally 8 and 24 hr solo events. Have done the local J&J 8 hr race tag and solo...punishing on the body due to the roots..as you will know ;) My local club is the "Farm" in Glenburnie. Yup, rode with Rob on his moto enduro and moto track...this guy is a solid dude. Not racing MTB this year.....kinda bit by this new bug, a rather potent disease state..called Husqvartitis. Will still "represent" in the Chico 24 hr solo event as a support guy for a young hot shot enterring his first 24 hr solo ...once one gets a 3rd place in this event...decisions need to be made. My decision is to take up a new hobby and loving it ;)

Let's rip Limerick when ready ;)
