• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Met up with Fitness to go and Ioneater to do battle with KTM's and GasGas's We had a great group of 9, 4 huskys, 4 KTM's and a GasGas. Awesome day, perfect trails, great people = super fun. My buddy Ken sold a cool Canadian guy his WR250 on the spot and off we went. Good fun.

Am I really going to ride with these guys?

I think Fitness (David) is liking the perfect conditions...

This is a semi odd place to ride as the ground is covered in river rock (but no river) and roots. Takes a second to get used to.

We did some rediculiously tight single track, like slip your clutch in 1st for a mile or so. Good stuff.

- BTW, I will post some setup tricks for the huskys I discovered this weekend.

-- Ion brought some most excellent home brew for the ride capper. NICE

Great ride

That first pic cracks me up. I think Husky riders are the kings of the goofy face pic. Nice pics, I was a little jelous till I read the last line about ion's home brew, then I was super jelous.

Great ride

Can't wait to hear the setup tricks!

Great pics and way more beautiful than what we ride. We have a lot of stuff around here where you are slipping the clutch and riding between trees that are only 30" apart for miles and miles.

WTF is that!?!

Um, in the first pic...lower rt hand corner?.........

Who hurled in the parking lot...was that before or after the ride?

Fit2go kinda looks ready to....

Musta been gnarly!

Nice group, nice ride! Those roots look like standard issue in my area. They are more fun when it's raining!:oldman:

I am going to have to make a trip down south next year. Looks like you guys have lots of nice riding there.

Do it late fall, awesome riding then. Look us up.

I thought your bike looked a lot like the Motosportz bike. That was an awesome ride. Thanks for showing us around some of the tight single track. It seems that I can use a new set of riding pants, how do your Sinisalo Moto Pants hold up?

Was good to meet another husky dude. That was a fun ride.

Sinisalo pants are very well made. Nice looking simple MX design. No frills but nice materials and build quality. Only damage on mine is a pipe burn pre mid pipe cover

That was my best ride to date! Kelly can't count, but we're not going to fault him for it. There were 5 (that's right five) Husqvarna's...TXC 450, TE 450, TE 510 x 2 and a WR 250. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, there were 3 KTM's and a Gas Gas 300. I got to ride the Gas Gas 300 and I was impressed. I was very surprised how smooth and electric that 2 stroke engine felt...very nice!

Anyway, it was really satisfying to dog that young buck on the KTM 125. KTM's taste good! Here are some pictures. By the way, that super tight single track...brutal, but fun! Greg said it perfectly calling it hell. I'll post some video later.

Greg and I loading up for the ride to come!
