  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I just re jetted my 09 WR 250 , it,s been running great but lots of spooge . Thougt I would try the red needle in the jd kit my pwk came with , blue needle was installed when bought . Before installation I noticed the red needle is smaller diameter over all then the blue , seems that a fatter needle would be leaner I know the taper is different just seems odd , But that said the bike rips , and alot less spooge , smooth bottom end and even seems to idle better . Current jetting at 800 to 1000ft PWK 170 main , 42 pilot , red JD needle 3rd clip and air screw 1.5 out fuel mix is 40:1 using motul 510 . Plug checkes out good bike run great did some slow single track this weekend no over heating issues just sheer bliss

, My jetting just seems alot leaner the everyone else. Just looking some feed back , Thanks

I also run the red needle, and i even use it in 1st clip pos. in the summer (20-25C). Runs very good in the woods with that pos. 175 main and 40 pilot. On the ice now i use the EEL needle in 3rd clip, 182 main and 45 pilot, 2,5 turns out and racehead, Leo Vince silencer.Very nice!
