• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

red fork guards for Huskys

Husqvarna

I saw the 2011 Gas Gas fork protectors and thought red would look cool and different. Figured the 45 zoke bolt pattern would be same also. They are full wrap arounds and hopefuly may provide some more seal protection possibly too. Oredered them fro Go Fasters and they look good, fit lke OEM, and at about $38 each are not too much. Just saying in case anyone was wondering about doing it.

Hey.....lots of cold and snow here and you guys want pictures...wait let me get the brush and do a painting. Now all kidding aside.....I will try ASAP.
Until then...they look like this except for saying Spectro and W.E.R instead of Gas Gas

I have the Ktm 2007 full wrap around shrouds like the above gasgass's- they are a little tight at the outer tube: 48mm WP versus 50mm Marzocci's. One of the friction rings came off on the outer tube- the other side is fine- I like them though... I also think the red would look sweet

The GG ones are neat as they must have better engineers that actually ride and have to work on their own bikes. They have a tab and slot on trail side that allows you to put them on and take off without removing wheel and sliding up fork like the KTM setip is (One piece).

True Dat! Also with mine (Acerbis 07 KTM 450exc) and I don't know about the GG: I can NOT use fork seal savers- its just too tight. Didn't think of that prior to purchase. Not that those seal savers are a necessity for all- but its something to concider also.

The reason I replaced mine- was because my OEM guards cracked (shattered) in multiple places near the mounting holes... These seem much more resiliant...

OK OK OK I will try ro post some pics this weekend......Damn this job thing...It is always interfereing with fun stuff!

So what do you guys suggest for a TE310? My stock one shattered as well?
Do the Gas Gas ones stickers come off? are they just decals or are they embedded?
Does anyone know where to get some Carbon Fiber ones?
