    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Rear Disc Guard, it fits now.

After struggling to get my axle back in when trying to fit the rear disc guard it finally dawned on me, something aint right. I don't blame Motosportz, I am pretty sure these Huskies are all a little different from the factory. I've been using Kellys' stuff for years, my '05 is all outfitted with Rooster guards of all sorts.

The picture quality isn't great but not bad for a phone.

The guard hole and rear brake carrier hole just wouldn't line up. Time for the grinder.

Now it fits like a glove, the axle slid right in.

If the bike you're installing this on is a 2010 250, that's what Motosportz Mike told me would have to be done for fitment. Also, Motosportz front disc guard for 08 TE's fits perfectly on my 2010 with no modification.
 
What the heck? Will look at inventory and see whats up. No issues installing it on my bike nor have i heard from others. Sorry about that. will look into it.

Just to keep you updated, same issue on my 08 TE450....no big deal, i assumed the same as Sharpie1, the mount tab might be little different bike to bike.
 
Not to complain but my was the same way on 09 te310. It was real tight fit so i just filed a little off. No big deal. I have your front disk gaurd. Mid pipe gaurd, Skid plate. All fit great. Happy with every thing. They are all holding up very good.
 
Struggled too long, then modified disc guards on my '09 WR125

I just bought some disc guards from Motosportz and struggled way too long before taking wheel back off, dry-fitting and then doing some filing until it fit. Wish there was a note with my order alerting me to some possible filing required! I was going bonkers trying to line everything up when it would never have lined up until it was modified.
 
I had the same problem with my TE450. IT wont fit, the axle wont line up. just a little filling and it fits.
 
I guess I'll drop in and say that my rear disc guard was very tight and the axle wouldn't line up.:banghead: I had to file and use some serious force to get it to fit properly. Not a big deal.

With all this being said, by no means am I complaining as a lot of bikes are slightly different as we have seen with Husky's.:doh: I love this guard and just appreciate those who support our brand and make aftermarket parts for us. Keep 'em coming Kelly!:thumbsup:
 
I bought my rear guard a couple years ago, and it took a little finessing to get it on, I just figured my bike was a little off (like its rider):). I didn't think it was a big deal at the time, come to think of it, I still don't think it is a big deal. Now getting my air filter down into its spot without slimming everything with grease and oil, that is a big deal:lol:. Ken
 
I think there was something off with our last batch of mounts (the part that replaces the spacer). We are looking into it. Very sorry about this.
 
Its really no big deal, but a note with the guard would be nice to let people know of possible fitment issues. Dont beat yourself up Kelly, I still like your products and would recomend them to people.:thumbsup: I still think it may have to do with differences in the original equipment.
 
Anyone having this issue... Did you get them in the last 2-3 months or so. We switch machines and i think there was a progrmming error or fixturing issue that made us get them slightly off. Would love to get to the bottom of this as there were no issues (that i know of) before. I have fitted many of these myself.

Same fitment prob as all the other posters, and again, no big deal once I figured it out. Prior to some 'adjustments', there was no way the axle was going in. I bought my guard last summer.

As long as were on the subject of improvements, Re: the tiny lip that goes into the rear wheel seal needs to be a smaller OD and less sharp edged. Once installed, when you try to remove it, it fits so well/tight that it rips the inner edge of the seal -despite trying to be very gentle removing the guard. Once it actually pulled the seal right out of the hub. I painstakingly filed and sanded the lip down to about half it's original diameter, solving the problem.

Again, this ain't bitchin. This is being thankful that we have access to someone who makes parts for us and we can give feedback to. Please keep up the great work and products!
