really cheepo moto-stand

got this at home depot bout 10 mins ago...a 10$ step stool. spprox 15.5" high, 11" wide. 300# rating, not sure i'd go there, but my little buddy "squirt" seems happy enough on it.

good enough for a light 2T on flat, hard ground. for a 4T double them up as they are stackable.

also could come in handy for a dead-engine start step-box. it weighs nothing and you could ride to the line with it on your arm if you were soloing. paint yer # on the inside bottom for retreval later and good to go.

just be careful if yer wrenching etc. it is NOT a metal stand. but doubled up, esp with a few pop-rivets, it would be pretty robust.

This almost looks better than the "P.O.S" FmF stand I'm using now (sometimes I just use the milk crate and I think that is better than the FMF junk).
I might go to Home Depot after work tomorrow and try to find that stand.

Yes, I have a 2 step plastic folding one that I have used for that purpose for a few years now. Im not short though, I am just old....

And for people that have 'tall bikes', they could carry one on the trail to climb back on the bike if they every fall.

heavy (steel) so not ideal for taking with you but a good stand for cheap for shop work.

I got a bunch of these type of plastic 5gal water bottle crates,,,super cheepo---free . They are the perfect height to get 1 or both wheels up and double as carrying crates for xtra pit stuff. (just for another idea for bike lift/stand possibilties)

guys- the stool i pic'd migh not be good for use with a running start- ie, helping the bike up into the truck. it's legs in the back are kinda spindly, sames why i said caution when wrenching...dont wanna see anyone take a spill loading...its better for stationary stuff. def double it up if yer gonna get physical with them.

i use an ice chest for the "midget-needs-a-leg-up-anna-runnin-start" loading method.
