  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

:applause: First off I would like to thank Hall's for having the parts, sending them, and giving us their jetting info for my son's bike. We are now running: Leo Vince (slip on), 190 main jet, 40 Pilot, 50 leak jet, OCEMR needle, 5th clip from the top, 1 1/2 turns out. We also installed the new updated Husky bowl cap and hot start button. The bike fired up and settled into this really smooth idle; we just looked at each other. The bike normally had a sight camming idle like a 5.0 Mustang with an E cam LOL. It was so smooth we were almost scared to test ride it but off my son went in the rain! I could tell by the sound it was pulling quick and crisp. He came back with a big grin and it was my turn. I did the hot start test and she fired on the second kick without the usual kick back I get. I repeated it three more times each additional time it fired on the first kick. So off I went. The bike pulls better than it ever has by far, very strong, clean, and without any hesitation. I was pulling second and third gear wheelies in the grass while it was raining. Well by now you can tell we are very happy. So if you own a 2010 TC 250 give Hall's a call and they can get you the parts you need.

Awesome! Now all you need is the bar mount hot start lever with my "special" travel stop mod and you'll be 100%!

What elevation are you at? I am at 185 main, 42 pilot at 1000' of elevation. I was going to richen the pilot as it seems lean at idle, the air screw is like 5 or more turns out.
