  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So whats the turn around time for RB if you live in N California?Any Ideas? I'm chomping at the bit to get my carb back.

I have a extra RB modded Tmxx for sale if any one is interested, it has not been used sense he modded it and it was basically brand new before that

He also does AWESOME head work on 2-strokes. Sent my son's 2011 TM 250 MX and it's crazy how huch more low and midrange the bike has now and it's pump gas friendly!

Ron is not one to sit on work. A few years ago I dropped off some banshee cylinders for boring and champfering. He tells me give him 2-3 days, which is great IMO.
Then I get an email 4 hours later telling me they're done.

He also does all kinds of one off work. He machined my YZ250 side case covert to accept a 20mm kickshaft, made some steel wheel collars for my buddy's yz, made some custom parts for my buds kx125/kdx200 conversion, bored/champfered my 4-cylinder boat motor and the list goes on.

I'll send him my crazy ideas to see if they're possible or not. The guy is a metal magician.

I am also waiting to get my carb back from RB. For those already with one did you find that re-jetting was necessary after the RB full modification?

After the divider and low speed mods you will probably have to drop the pilot two sizes. I think I went up one of the main.
