  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Lost my rad cap 2hrs into a H+H at the weekend.
Couldn't get a jap cap to fit from the abandoned bikes scattered around.
Although from reading here people reckon the jap caps fit.
The only cap I can see that suits from the parts Europe catalog is the 2 bar for KTM.
Bike was fine with the 1.4bar.
Will a 1,4 bar KTM cap fit?

I just went to the garage and checked my radiator caps. I swapped my '06 KTM 300 2T cap with my '11 TXC250 cap. They fit perfect on each other. Pretty sure we have the same radiators on our Husky's. A jap bike cap DID fit on my '09 WR125. Hope this helps.

Well I checked the radiator cap part numbers for the '10 TE and the '11 TXC. The numbers are different but it doesnt mean the KTM cap wont fit. One of the part numbers for your bike actually has 'KTM' in parentheses after it. If the jap bike cap didnt fit, good chances the KTM cap will. I ran into the same problem with the WR. No one listed a high pressure cap for it. Happen to check the cap from my YZ250 and it fit. Seems to be only two types of radiator caps out there.......and Husky uses both!

Perfect, thanks for the information. I'll go for the KTM cap....word on the grapevine is the Husky will soon be KTM!?!
Looks like we'll all be Orange soon.
