  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Radiator braces

The radiators are prone to bending yes thats why they are a good idea
Not sure if id spend the money though

I have them on my bike. I don't think that the radiators on these are any more prone to bending than other bikes, but I would probably run them on a different bike if I had one.

Before I got the guards, I had to replace 2 radiators, so I should have just bought them in the first place...

I put them on every bike I own. Cheap insurance. By the way, the OE Husky radiators are thinner and weaker than most other brands.

Depends what you ride. If you do mostly mx you could probably get away without them.

I see your in PA also. I wouldn't ride woods without them, you'll end up with rads that look like this:

I've got a set of 7602s, unabikers and flatlands. The 7602's with their guards provide the most protection. The unabikers are ok but not as stout. Not sure you can get them anymore anyways. I'd stay away from the flatlands, although they have protected the rads, they are pretty beat up and some of the welds are starting to crack.

The stock rads are not very well made. I've seen them bust open for no reason. Look into. Set from mylers, or other people on here have had good luck with Chinese made eBay items also. The Enduro engineering guards I had seemed to hold up pretty good.

i'm in pittsburgh.

do you have extra ones you want to sell? Which ones does motosportz sell?

No, sorry, they are all in use. Not sure which one motosportz sells...

Send me a message if you want to hook up for a ride sometime.

Dude! Those are some wrecked rads! It looks like you dropped your husky out of an airplane. Glad to hear you are happy with our braces and guards. Thanks.

I'm glad someone appreciates my hard work ;)

That was the result of looping my old 610 on a climb and it landing on a tree right on the rad. Amazingly it didn't leak and I ran it like that for a while before getting some replacements and your guards.

Warning: Myler's radiators don't really fit in the 7602 racing guards (at least, not on a WR300).

They can be convinced, but you have to remove the stock cylindrical spacers inside the rubber isolators, and the holes don't line up perfectly anymore.

Mix and matching aftermarket products is always a gamble. Expecting an oversize radiator to fit perfectly into a brace designed for the stock rads is asking a lot.

Force accessories in Australia make a rad guard/brace combo and are brilliant.
I have used them on many of my bikes over the years and they are a good solid bit of kit that can take a beating.
Choice of colours also.
Many a bike has been thrown into the ground with nil rad damage so far.

I'm motorcycle mechanic and also have a Husqvarna WR 125
She also already empenou the radiator and I desempenei it easily, and very easy for him the way he was

I've got OFG radiator braces on mine. One thing I don't like though is the brace sits in front of the plastic louver which means that the steering stops have to be wound out a lot to stop the forks hitting the brace. This kills the turning circle.
