• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I am sure everyone has heard as to what happened last weeken at the truck race in Luceren .There is all types of talk from just about everyone as to the future of Desert Racing

BUT what i do know is there is a Motorcycle Desert Race this weeken in Luceren .Everyone should try to make it out there even if you do not race .I am sure the BLM and alot of other people will be there to keep an eye on us.We need to show support and we need to work to keep the desert open .I know it will be hot but every one should try to come . Race is put on by the Invaders MC of District 37 AMA
will be off Camp Rock road by Anderson Dry Lake

Do not let some tree hugger ruin where you ride

Come on Guys not one person from this sight has posted they will be there to support Desert Racing
Some day we might just lose the fight to ride in the desert with out your support .Then you will have to pay to ride in a circle you know it is called motor cross

Ajax John and others,
You know our support of the moto/motorsport world. We just have other more local plans for this weekend. We will continue to support all events as much as posible and practicable. Continue our support with BRC and AMA(life 4 me) membership, and let's not let a terrible racing incident change anything except learning lesson in safety.

Good thread ajax. Of course, I'm in georgia so I won't be there but it's good to know people care and will be there to help protect our sport.

My advice to anyone going there this weekend - don't be shy if you see someone in a dangerous place. People who don't race often don't realize the danger they are putting themselves in by being in the wrong place. Shouldn't be much of an issue this weekend after the recent press but I still think it's a good practice to look out for others.

From what has been posted on other sights the BLM will be out in force which is a good thing most BLM rangers are cool BUT there are other groups which have the power to cause enought trouble to get us shut down .We just need to show everyone who might want to get us shut down and shut out that we have a right to go to the Desert
Remember it is puplic land

Say hi to Feinstien, Fiorina and Boxer.... maybe you can give them a ride on the 125.......they will all be out there on Soapboxes at mile 2, mile 6 and mile 9 respectively. Give them some water out of your Camelbak. They may be a little warm . Tell them not to drink it all though as you stop along the race course to give the Tortoises a drink....
