• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AA Class
A busy weekend as I raced the Laughlin Hare Scrambles Saturday and Checkers Hare and Hound on Sunday. Both very grueling races.

Laughlin: Beta's Team, Purvines Racing had a large field of teams. Two Open Pro teams on Beta's 498RR, One Vet Pro Team and Senior Pro team also on Beta 498RR and Two 250 two stoke teams. When the dust settled Nick Burson and his teammate Justin Morrow finished 2nd Open Pro team behind David Pearson/Robby Bell. The vet Pro team placed 2nd, Senior Pro team placed 1st. One of the 250 two stoke teams won their class by 35 seconds.

After the race in Laughlin we loaded up drove back to Barstow spend the night. We got up the next morning early and drove to Lucerne for the Checkers Hare and Hound. I had Turner of TBT suspension go through my suspension. Thanks Turner! I got signed up went over the bike put new tires on and was on the line for 10 AM start. The banner dropped and I didn't get that first kick start but it started on the second kick. I quickly move up and chose to do loop 3 first. We had the option of doing which ever loop we wanted. So I did 3, 2 and 1. I pushed hard the whole race because I had no idea what place I was in due to this type of format. But in the end I had beat 2nd by 9 minutes. It was a fun and a hard race.

Congratulations from a fellow Beta rider.

Do you have any plans to ride in the Mammoth Motocross this year?

BITD Laughlin Hare Scrambles
2/23/13

BITD Laughlin HS is one of my favorite races because its one of the most tightest races we race each season!!
I was teaming up with Ryan Smith riding 250 Pro! We ended up drawing last 250 and last pro starting 2min down from the 1st 250 off the line and I chose to start!! I was able to walk my section a little and get ready for the race which had wet dirt from rain a few days before!!
I got off the line good and tryed to stay smooth but a couple miles in I had a little tip over so I backed off a little and still passed the 4 250s who started in front until I had a little issue with our pipe but I still made up 2min!! We then changed it (thanks to Collin for the great help) but lost about 5min so we had our work cut out!!
Ryan rode good all of his 3 loops and made up a lot of time!! My 2nd lap I stayed smooth and made up 1min!! And going into my last lap we were down 1.5min so I pinned it and was able to gain 1min and 25sec so the race was on with Ryan and Nick Garvin!! Ryan was able to make up about 40sec and we ended up winning 250 Pro by 36sec and 5th O/A!!
I'd like to thank all my sponsors who help me and our team out!!
Purvines Racing, American Beta, Moose Racing, X Brand Goggles, Monster Energy, Fastway, Sidi, FMF, Dunlop, Motul, BRP, GPR Stabiliser, PDI Racing, TBT Suspension, Family and Friends, and Ron Purvines and Collin Woosley for the support this weekend!!
Thank you!!!
