  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Race Map II when powered up?

You must have not made contact. Hold on, mines apart right now, I'll shoot a pic for you. Stand by...

Ok, the map II jumper is either just in front or perhaps under the ECU. As you can see it is in the same bundle as the multi pin diagnostic connector. The plug I'm holding is the one you want. I have a factory supplied jumper installed in this picture. (Mine is older and came with the bike)20150207_133244.jpg

Here's a pic with the jumper plug removed. I would suggest solid copper conductor insulated or solder tinned braided wire to be inserted into the female pins. Make sure that once you get it right, wrap with electrical tape and seal with heat shrink.20150207_133313.jpg

Good luck!

Hi
A have the same but without this connector (it was missed before I get the bike) so i have only 2 wires there with exactly same colors as yours, one brown and other blue and brown. And i just connect them one to another, unplug CO sensor connector. And nothing was happened. There is no any Race Map 2 on the dashboard.

May be electrical issues or wrong/bad connection. Check circuits, see wiring diagram (workshop manual).

Ok I will try but what can be wrong there ?)
Its just simple steps)
Если есть какие-то ещё идеи буду рад выслушать )

Huskynoobee,
I don't know, where he is from. No location in his profile. Man of the World!:)
In English:
See electro scheme of TE449/511 (MY 2011 and 2012+ slightly different), take AVO-meter, and check the circuits: from MAP SWITCH connector to ECU (blue-brown B/Br wire, 33-th pin of ECU), and from the MAP SWITCH connector to a common bus VB SG (gray-brown Gy/Br wire, this wire is also connected to 25-th pin of ECU). Miracles do not happen!

Моё приветствие, да конечно говорю ) Буду пробовать. Дам знать как вышло или нет.
