• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

race fuel

one of the reasons i always used super techniplate is that is mixes with everything. never had a concern with it mixing with alcohol (ethanol)...
https://www.klotzlube.com/Ecommerce/site/content/PDFs/TECH/KL-100-Tech-Sheet.pdf
blends with e85, alcohol, nitromethane, etc...

im also a big fan of amsoil products but ive run klotz too long with good results
i used to hang out with some micro sprint guys...all the micros used 250cc 2 stroke engines burning alcohol. well over half the field all ran klotz benol. benol is really dirty but great protection and mixes with anything. very few oil manufacturers will come out and say their oil works with alcohol or anything other than pure gasoline...
one thing is for sure ill be breathing castor tomorrow, lol. braap!
When I raced cars I would run this stuff called CM+3 or CM2 I really cant remember the exact name but it was basically Klotz with lead added. I would put a quart in 55 gallons of methanol and it helped lube the valves. I'd still be using it but they probably banned that product a long time ago. Like you, if you have something that works without fail why switch

What i like about your post Doug was that the Amsoil guy doesn't day boo about AV gas other than it will mix.

I kept hearing warnings about AV gas but nobody ever gave an exact reason so I thought I'd ask the Amsoil guy himself. I sent an email and it was answered the next day, now I know.

considering there are aviation engines that are two strokes, it isnt too shocking that amsoil says their oil will mix with aviation fuel. interceptor is for sure one of the cleanest burning oils out there. being an amsoil product i have no doubts it protects well too.
