• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

R U aware of the GNCC 'Live results' you can watch?

Pro Class
For those that don't already know, on the www.gnccracing.com homepage is a link to ''live results''. The results are updated as the racers come thru scoring and their transponders are read.

There is a drop down box that lets you choose to view by class or overall. If you click on a rider's name it gives a little more info...like when the rider is actually due thru based on lap times.

All races are tracked...all ATVs on Saturday...all bikes on Sunday.

Sunday...youth bikes at 8 am for 1 1/2 hours, morning bikes at 10 for 2 hours and afternoon bikes at 1 for 3 hours.

It will show 'off' or no results until the first rider comes thru...usually 15 minutes after start time for the youth and 20 to 30 minutes for the others depending on lap distance.

Be warned...this can kill the better part of a day; jeopardizing the ability to get your honey-do list done.

If you're really into it...there is another really cool thing...
Under the 'Results' tab there is a 'Live laps' tab.

If you follow the directions you can also receive a text each time whoever you subscribe to comes thru. You need their rider number... But that is on the live results the first time they come thru. This actually gives you the class position, lap time, overall position, and more.

If we have cell coverage...this works great!
