  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Project 360

Husqvarna
A Class
Got myself a 98 WR360 that had been in a fire...The shed roof had collapsed in parts on the bike and melted all the plastics, wiring harness, front tyre and controls...
Project has been going well with motor rebuilt, frame painted and most of the alloys polished.
Everything required to complete project is now on order except for a set of radiator shrouds! I have tried Halls and R&D Husky here in Aus along with wreckers and ebay worldwide with no luck...Anybody out there in Husky land happen to have a set of 98/99 tank shrouds laying around for sale????
A few pics of progress.....Before & After

Whipps Alloy Products here in Australia make them.
They are a really strong guard & work fantastic for pipe protection.

Finally got the 360 running today!!! It fired 2nd kick and ran for approx a minute and then stopped! I kicked for 10 minutes and could not get it to fire again...No spark**************************************** I pulled the flywheel and realised some D&^$ Head had forgot to bolt the stator down properly:( Spent a day re-wiring the stator but its now running and have been for a ride! I came back smiling and shaking! think I'm going to like this bike!
Below pic is bike now....just waiting on seat cover and graphics kit which are on the way!360.jpg

Well project 360 is just about complete...Pretty happy with the way it came up! Few things still to add but that will come when the minister for finance opens the purse strings again! After a weekend ride on the 360 I came home and rode to work the next day on my 08 TE610 and could not believe how un-exciting it was.....the 360 is definatly a fun bike to ride:banana:
Below are before & after Photo!

He is based in Europe but delivers quick..if you look at the web site he lists all models he makes! Any design you see can be adjusted to suit your model... Since I couldn't get 98 model rad shrouds I sent him a template of mine and he made them up....very good prices as well!
