• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
hey guy's im new here,

i have a supermoto husqvarna 610 and i replaced de piston and piston rings recently.
know i also let the side cover and valve cover painted,i put them back on put the engine in the frame but i cuddent get the motor in its free gear any more ?

what can be the problem ???

sorry for my english im from belgium ;)

Are you saying you cannot find neutral while the engine is not running?

.
I think that's what he's looking for.

Need to make sure nothing was changed on the shift selector, the "star wheel" has several teeth, one of which is short and dished so that it will stay in neutral between 1st and 2nd. Not sure if there's a way to improperly index that on the 610...

yep thats th proplem nomore neutral,i just removed de cover of the clutch end the other cover for the paintjob, when i tried to put them back on i just needed to put a pin thats on the cover between 2 arms of e spring thats mountet on the shifter axle tried to put it in neutral and it just didnt want to go in neutral no more :s

I like the fact that it is hard to find neutral. A perfect bike is one that is hard to find neutral to avoid finding neutral when shifting from 1st to 2nd at 5000 rpm riding up a hill :)

My 09 is a breeze to get in neutral, even with MX boots. I don't think I ever missed a shift from 1st to 2nd. The only time it get funky is when the oil is due for a change. I can't imagin what's causing you problem if all you did was paint the case covers.

Pull the covers back off and look things over. You may find your missing tool... :) (it may be something simple)

+1 on changing the oil. It's still easier to find neutral going from 2nd to 1st. Rolling the wheel also helps if the bike is off or blipping the throttle if you're at a dead stop.
