• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

pro grip light sensitive goggles

just got home with some of the progrip/husky logoed light sensitive riding goggles. dont seem to be too light sensitive but look cool lol id advise not gettin them...in all fairness i havent riden with them yet, this is just messing around inside with some sunlight comming through the window.

Give them a chance, I have been using pro grips for the past 5 years. The light sensitivity has been good for me but they make clear lenses as well. The big advvantage for me is: easy to breathe in, don't fog up easy, and hold up well. The only disadvantage I have found is not as easy to get tear offs for them like Scott is. Moose racing is making tear offs for them now at a cheaper price, I also like there 790 grips but have been trying pillow tops right now with the wet season.

The difference in sunlight is not dramatic to just look at the lens but more than enough to keep your eyes happy on the brightest days. If you really want to see the difference place something over half the lens and leave in the sun for a few minutes, the sunny side will be a blueish color.

You have to be VERY careful cleaning them or your wipe off all the light sensitive stuff. Use windex or something on them and they dont work any more.

I had a set of them when they came out a few years ago....goggles are great, but I was one of many that got a dizzy feeling while wearing them

....no joke...don't ever remember why some did and some didn't .I keep a couple pairs of their goggles with differant lenses(blue, clear,lt. smoke). I like their fit for my face/nose and helmet.

thanks for the responses, well no takin them back now i gave em a shot on my lil track for about 25-30 laps this afternoon. all in all not too bad, main thing i noticed was that the air movement through em was pretty good. the tint was so so and the fit seem snug but not too bad. strange about the dizzyness
