  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

who out there has a pro circuit Ti-4R system on a 449/511?
if so what are your opinions on it?
and do you have any pics of it on your bike?

thanks in advance

at $999.95 i thought that wasnt too bad as opposed to the akro, it is a little dearer than the FMF. i have the standard akro that come on my bike but im planning on getting the jd tuner so ill also upgrade exhaust while at it. over here in aus the upgraded Akro is around $1900aud, the full FMF system is about $1100audbut can get one delivered from the states for around $850 and the pro circuit is the same $1000aud. Akro is crossed off the list so its between the FMF and pro circuit but i havnt seen too much info on the pro circuit

I have the stainless on my txc511 and like it a lot. Looks good, not too loud and great power.

Is that the price for the fmf with the megabomb and 4.1rct? If so, it is a much better option imo. You can get quiet inserts and spark arrestors for the fmf, but you cannot for the pro circuit. pro circuits are popular with the racers because of sponsorship, but the husky factory race exhaust uses the fmf megabomb and a silencer which is very similar to the 4.1 but not as good. You will have to order a full exhaust for the TC449 from fmf to get the correct parts.

Or
http://www.oemcycle.com/Item/product/900100413 Q4 is more like Akro with internal baffles and is a lot quieter

I got these prices off http://www.tremx.com/TI_FMF_Factory_4_1_RCT_Slip_On_Exhaust_W_Titanium_p/79-40-ti-fmf.htm

79-0490 FMF MEGABOMB HEADER TI HUSQVARNA TC449 '11-12 $279.95 1 $279.95

7940500 FMF FACTORY 4.1 RCT TI SLIP-ON HUSQVARNA TC449 '11-12 $399.95 1 $399.95
plus $70 shipping to aus.

i am assuming that these parts are the titanium mega bomb header and titanium 4.1 RCT muffler? which i am guessing is the fmf top of the range system for these bikes?

Yes, that is correct. I would choose a stainless steel header over the titanium and a titanium silencer. The stainless header is stronger.

OEM does ship to Australia and looks to be about 60 dollars cheaper.
