• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Powers: The General GNCC…This sucks…

How are you feeling today, Andy? Hope everything went well. You're young and strong and will bounce back in no time. You young guys heal much quicker than this old gal, that's for sure!

Oh, and we want to see gnarly x-rays with your new hardware :D

THANKS for the kind words... FAR Husqvarna we where glad to help Andy or any Husqvarna rider out... Like the front fender sticker...

Heal up and see you at the races****************************************!!

Wow, what a weekend…

But to keep things in proper perspective I realize compared to the plight of many in our world ours is self-induced and comes with the territory…

With that said, Andy had surgery on Friday morning at the exact same time I was across town having my '4' wisdom teeth pulled. So now I'm allowed to be more 'stupid' than usual! (always trying to find the positive)

Although I arrived at the house with the help of my sister around noon on Friday, it would be Saturday morning at 8 am before mom would be able to bring the boy home.
The surgery went fine but the anesthesia kicked his butt; migraines and could not keep anything down. It took almost 24 hours to get him straightened out enough to be released.

Now you've already drawn the mental picture…Andy and I on the couch with mom/wife having spent the night in the hospital with the child patient…but it went good. Thank goodness for supercross, golf, basketball, NASCAR and Indy cars on the tube.

Did not get a chance to see the hardware x-rays yet but was told 7 or 8 screws with a small chip left out that just wasn't needed…But Doc said all went well!

I have an "Outside' pic, which nobody wants to see (they pretty much all look the same no mattter what goes on inside)...

Working on the 'Inside' pic...

Andy is feeling better and is amazed at the pain-free movement he has already…Going to be hard to hold him back to give it time. But I told him not following doc's directions and not letting it heal right will really set you back!

Thanks for all the support.

Good healing vibes to you both.

So you have access to a brand new bike and have no rider? I remember riding with you when we had eight wisdom teeth between us and less grey hair, borrow the kids bike and lets go riding! In all seriousness, heal fast Andy hope to see you soon. We have been riding near Minersville all tight enduro trails all day, big fun.
