• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Powers 2nd in Class, 15th OA at Rock Run GNCC

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Sunday May 29th, Patton PA.

Finally!...the last GNCC held was on April 10th. Weather would not play a major role this weekend beside being a little on the humid side. Top of a mountain, in farm country with a nice breeze blowing.
Check out the background of the pictures; nice place. Actually an off-road park.

In the morning race there were 244 bikes with 12 on the 200 C, 16+ line. Again, he was the only Husky on the line. Long up hill start, came off the line good...just got pulled by bigger bikes. About 5th or 6th place when the trail got tight. (He's #15 behind the yamaha with green numbers.)

The lap times were going to be around a 1/2 hour, so it was going to be a four lap race. The place isn't called Rock Run for no reason. It was very fast and very rocky...not something he gets a lot of practice on...

He can thru the first lap in 2nd and was destined to remain there. Andy was on a really good pace, problem was the class leader was having a good day also. Andy pushed hard and kept him honest and looking back...

Even though Andy dropped some time to the leader each lap they were both pushing hard...
3rd place was down a lap and at least 8 minutes...

Andy ended up 2nd in Class and 15th Overall out of 244 bikes. All in all a very good day!

The Hybrid Husky WR125 worked pretty well in the rocks...

Drop him a line on the way thru...

Currently, Andy sits in first place in points for the 200 C, 16+ class, he's got some work to do to stay there, but I believe he's up to the task...
