• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post your riding pics!

Is that you coffee?

If that's you coffee, shouldn't there be an espresso machine hanging off the side of the bike where the lambda sensor emerges? ;-)

Here are a couple of mine.

Hit up the not-long-for-this-world NJORVP in Chatsworth, NJ this weekend and decided to air out the Husky a bit.

Not too shabby for an old, fat, slow C rider!

That is beautiful looking country! Is that just a regular backpack?

Distant Memories

Here's a pick of me riding my 06 TE510 February this year. First ride after breaking a few bits in my ankle (still broke). This is a little mx track right behind my factory. Some would say I'm a lucky guy with this track so close. They don't know about my 08. Sadly the 06 is now abusing someone else as we parted company shortly after my 08 arrived. Mistake. The light is a replacement one as those damned trees in Wales was moving faster than me.:)

Now here's something different. In the words of the late great John Lennon (almost)

Happiness Is A Warm TL Momma

This is where I started way back in 75. Decided my boy needs the same start in life as me. He won't be buying a Husky CR250 straight after like i did  That bike hurt me every time i rode it. Stuart your an evil man selling that beast to 80lb 12 year old weakling. How I survived it, dog only knows. It taught me a good lesson though. Real pain. Spent a whole summer chopping a 70ft tree into small logs to pay for the fence and the damage to the neighbours car.

Here's my boy

The smile on that young mans face says it all.

Giggling in yer helmet: happens to young and old alike, never to be outgrown.

It's a good thing.

Nice pic of you kid!

I didn't get what you meant about the mistake of getting rid of your 06 for an 08. Are you unhappy with the 08? I hope you ankle heals up soon.

My 08

Here is a pic of my 08 in a rare moment of internal combustion. Very rare.

Here is a picture of my 08 after I've pushed it home.

I won't go to great detail about my 08 but it's suffice to say that it hasn't run for mare than six hours without total failure in four months. My engine had a problem from day 1 and still hasn't been fixed properly. 5 attempts. 5 fails. I've given up.
