  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

Can't wait for a little warmer weather

I'm very OCD when it comes to keeping my girls clean. I use Awesome cleaner(you can find it at your local family dollar store or dollar general) it gets the job done. I also am constantly wiping them down with a microfiber.I don't have time anymore to enjoy it like it's meant too, needs a good home. It is For Sale if anyone is interested in a low hour, meticulously maintained, garage kept bike!

Ok, here's mine. 2013 TE310R. After having a few struggles getting it right, the bike is running perfectly. Lots of pop to this one, not certain if it's the louder sound of the TE vs my FE350, but the TE almost seems to have more instant power from the crack of the throttle.

This one is now up for sale with the arrival of the new bike. Pass this along to anyone who
might be interested in a excellent condition TE310R with under 1200 km.

well, you certainly upgraded to a superior bike- I think the FE350 is the best thing going. Better motor that somehow pulls better down low AND still has more at the top end than the redhead. W-a-a-a-a-y better tranny gear spread, and (just for you) a better starting system drivetrain.

About the only place the redhead is better is handling; and even that is kinda close. the redhead feels lighter too somehow. they're purt'near equal in braking. Also, the FE feels a bit too wide in the tank area for me.

so what didja get?

I picked up a 2014 Husaberg FE 350 witk 1500 km on it.
Previous owner had it setup really nice with lots of little bits.20180222_132815_crop_638x540.jpg

whoops- I was thinking husky. Those 70° engines are okay too but all I've ridden is the 570.

forgot everything i said above. but it's a pretty bike!

Too funny. The bike is essentially a KTM XCF-W with blue plastics, different fork and shock. Same fork and shock that got put on the 2015 XCF-W (4CS and PDS). Even says KTM on the top tube. I guess they are pretty much all KTM now. Was it from 2015 onwards that the Husqvarna FE 350 was essentially same bike as the KTM EXC-F 350 or the XCF-W? Not a lot of bike out there to pick from if you want a dirt bike that is a dirt bike, but can be used on the road if/when required.

It's got the fan, option on the KTM, all the bash guard protection bits, tubliss, Sicass full light kit (high/low/off). Didn't have a horn installed but wiring in place. Have folding mirrors, horn and ignition key kit on route.
Bike is plated for the road. With the wider range 6-speed it should be able to cruise relatively easily at 90-100km/h whereas the TE was pretty buzzy by then.

The FE350 It's got a nice easy power about it, very quiet compared to the TE310R (really loud even after putting end cap baffle back in). The one ride I have had it on was snow and ice, so nothing to really go on, but the suspension feels very nice and squishy and it's got a couple more inches travel on the back and more clearance as compared to the TE.

Not saying the TE had more power from open throttle down low, but at least very comparable to very limited time I have on the FE.
