  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Possible TE 310 or 499

That is pretty small, I'll check it out. I've had my TXC511 for almost two years now and it is still completely stock... must be a record or something!

Dude......if you still dont have it in racemap....I feel sorry for ya.

It is a turd stock. Really. I had regrets at first. Loosened up my pocket book and man its a new bike.

id do the tc airbox lid, decatted stock pipe and zip ty remap for starters.

I doubt I have 250 miles on it yet. The bke really seems to have started to loosen up the last 2 times out. It never really seemed to flame-out as much as just stall due to a lack of low-end grunt (and lack of proper clutch modulation on my part).

I'm really bummed I cannot get map III. PCV someday if I feel the need.

Still gotta find a wire... Anyone ever just clip the plug and solder the wires together? Switch seems like a good idea, just more complicated than neccessary.

14 tooth front and gutting the muffler are on the near list.

I'm so bad I just ordered the TXC's first farkle! (P3 carbon fiber bling to save my duds)

Warmed up a bit-took her out in the snow for a little tromp. Defiantly a slug out of the box. Pipe should show up soon. Will put a few miles on then send out the ecu...

I have this bike and absolutely love it. Mapped, probend guards, uncorked. It's a seriously capable bike. I've debated going orange, but I really can't find a reason to switch cause I love the red (now blue/yellow again) so much!

Fmf installed, made a jumper out of fire alarm wire-map II. Hopefully will take out for a rip tomorrow or sat weather permitting (snow-rain-sleet in Ohio) might hit low 40's on sat!!!

jmkav,

Looking forward to hearing how it goes!

I found a piece of wire that is .020". I'll see how that works.

if you find it stalling on you turn the idle up a hair and you should be good to go
