• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

PNW riders to qualify for ISDE?

Husqvarna
A Class
Looking for others from the PNW to ride share to TN and MO for ISDE qualifiers. Thinking of driving to TN, leaving bikes and vehicle at a friends place, flying home, then flying back for MO qualifier and trip home.
Anyone interested?

With my V10 crew cab truck, we're looking at $1800 in gas round trip. 4 people split four ways would make that $450 each. Plus the chance to switch drivers. I have other options. If one person want's to go I can take a diesel pickup regular cab which will be about $1000 round trip, making it $500 in gas each. Round trip air faire was about $400 from Tulsa to Portland when I last checked. It'd be about $1000 to do both rounds. This is much better for me than the $3000 it would cost to solo it.

Am I the only privateer racer here doing nationals? Does anybody have any good ideas they could share to help me shave costs??

I would like to go to the two mid west rounds but am in Southern Cal. Not sure how to make the hookup - any ideas? I am riding orange but am interested in Husky which is why I am on this site.

Thanks - Steve

Steve, I'm sending you a PM. Color of bike doesn't matter. It's the blue helmet with the skunk stripes we're after. I'm on a Gas Gas. When it comes to racing, we do what we have to do!

I am also planning on attending the Idaho qualifier. I am in San Diego County.

I might have a driver lined up to take my bike and equipment, since I wont have the time to drive there and back. I will fly to the event.

Steve M. pm me if this sounds like something we might be able to hook up with and carpool etc.

Also, Chilly White is another San Diego guy and ISDE participant. I was gonna check with him also, see what his plans are.

Mitch.

Mitch,
I am going to Idaho and may have room for your bike. Check with Chilly also, he may have room in his van. How about the Eastern rounds?

Roostafish,
I may have another rider from So Cal and one in Phoenix for the Eastern rounds. We could meet in Phoenix? There are several ISDE guys in the PNW that would probably like to go east-have you talked with them? Do you need their names?
