• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Please welcome our newest sponsor, Husqvarna NA

My understanding is there is a sale on for the month of May 2010. Or at least I was told to only have the banner up for the month of May. LINK

I'm confused, is this the chainsaw and sewing machine Husqvarna or the dirtbike Husqvarna?

The link goes straight to the motorcycle site :)

Welcome aboard, Husqvarna NA!

Wow. Congrats Coffee!

I've long thought that Husky should be paying you (and certain other members of this board) since you have done more to sell the brand than their advertising has.

Don't let it go to your head!

They advertised late 2008 for a couple of months too.

It takes a comprehensive multidimensional ad campaign to reach the masses. Suffice it to say there are more customers/owners than there are members of cafe husky... and while not everyone likes being online for a multitude of reasons, more will continue to view, and join this site.

Welcome Husqvarna NA
I can’t speak for the rest of the folks here at the asylum but I for one do have one of those things that you’re selling and I enjoy it tremendously
Hell, I enjoy it even when it’s stationary in the garage; just looking at it makes my heart race a bit…

Thanks for sponsoring :applause:

No BS here, the '09 Hero's Ride Husky's campaign worked for this household. I had been surfing for the current Husky MC site on the web, as my old bookmark no longer worked, it wasn't there. I migrated to CH and soon after found this thread: http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1773
I bought my '08 TE 510 March 28th and H.Kitty bought her '08 TE 250 April 1, 2009. CARB kept the '09's out of CA until just after we bought our '08's. No biggie as the '08 Husky 4T's are top shelf.
