Hi Gang. I'm re-assembling my 630 and for all the documenting I did of the routing of wires/hoses I didn't snap a pic of this one on dis-assembly...and the manual isn't much help. It's the gear position sensor wire. I know it runs up through a "tunnel" of sorts between the slave cylinder mount flange and the case- that's shown in the first pic (you'll see the black sheath sticking out of the top...heading upwards.)
What's got me concerned is the lower part of the wiring- closer to the GPS itself- that seems scarily close to where the chain will be spinning. Because of the white connector plug (at the other end of the wire) I can't see how it would be routed better (like getting into that "tunnel" sooner/lower.)
If someone can look at theirs and let me know what's right that would be great. I'm hoping to work on it again tonight. Here are the pics:
