  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK folks. Where's a guy to get upper/lower radiator shrouds for a '12 TXC 310? They're starting to show stress marks and a micro crack or two. Especially the lowers. Thought they'd last longer.....At any rate, the time grows near for replacement. BTW, FINALLY got the drain plug out of the back of the motor! Unfortunately the plug gave up its life and was afforded a proper burial. However there was no eulogy............So, what's the scoop on the scoops?

You can get the shrouds for a 2010-2013 X lite model. 2008-2009 should look the same from the outside but the mount points are different, so you can't get those. The lower radiator guards are the same from 2008-2013. You can get the lower scoops from Rocky Mountain, but I think they are actually cheaper to get OEM from a dealer. Shrouds for the X lites I have only seen from the dealer.

Nice to see another Husky in Oklahoma. Maybe you'll pass me on the trail sometime. :)

Rocky Mountain, aye? I'll check 'em out. Don't remember seeing them when I perused the site. Might see you at the reschuled Draper round of the OHSC Series. Or maybe Stillwater. Who knows..........

Rocky mountain just for the lowers. Sometimes on Rocky Mountain you have to be sneaky and look up a different bike, like a 2009 TE 450 and then a lot of results show. A lot of the stuff crosses over, especially chassis wise. Not the tank shrouds, though. I get my stuff at Halls because they seem to have even the most obscure parts in stock and they get to OK in about 2 or 3 days (order Tue get on Fri).

Try motoXotica. They are a great source for all Husqvarna stuff new or old. http://www.motoxotica.com/

Thanks for chiming in Daniel. I've ordered quite a bit from Dan @ motoExotica. Good guy and a good source. I tried Hall's and low and behold, they had what I was looking for CHEAP! And I didn't know you can buy one side at a time. So a one sided purchase was made on the cheap. Woot!
