    FE = 4st Enduro & FC = 4st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC Plastics difference FC & FE???

wilmar13

Husqvarna
AA Class
The gist of my question is if anyone knows how different the fenders and side panels may be between FC and FE?

I like the Husqvarna Factory Graphics kit for the FC (I have FE) and would like to know if the only significant difference is the number plate... i.e. will the bulk of decals will fit either bike or are the side panels completely different?

14 FE350 fits my Berg FE perfectly...could have gone to 15 plastics as l have the front fender adapter so l don't see any difference between an set of FC plastics to FE aside from the numberplate?

As far as graphics...again l had aftermarket graphics and no issue there.

You are comparing FE to FE unless that is a typo... the FC have smaller fuel tanks at minimum.

It does appear identical to my eye based on photo... but it is $100 wasted if it doesn't fit.

The plastics and patterns are the same for '15. You can interchange the fuel tanks between the '15 bikes (Hare scrambles riders fit the FE tank on their FC's). Had both 15 FC and FE and had same graphics kit for both, as well as swapped plastic.

Same fitment...the reduced tank size comes way of a short LHS of the tank in comparison to the FE. Aside from that, same plastics, if you're worried about wasting $100, take your old shrouds into your local dealer and compare them - if you are on good terms with them, ask if you can fit them on one of the showroom bikes?

for 2016 you have the new plastics on the MX machines (FC, TC125) all others are still interchangeable Husaberg plastic.

I believe as usual for KTM 2017 all will wearing the new plastic FC TC, FE TE models.

Has anyone noticed a color difference in the blue from the 2014 to 2015? I picked up a used rear fender off ebay from a 2014 that had the factory trim graphics and it's a lighter color blue than my whats on my 2015 shrouds. I know its pretty lame to notice that but after looking at the whole bike, I have 3 different shades of yellow, and 2 blue lol

I believe the 2014 "Husaberg" blue rear fenders are a bit of a different color than the newly made 2016 stock "Husqvarna" front lateral shrouds. It sort of makes sense. Since the 2014 and 2015 Husqvarna's have plastics supplied by "Acerbis" that still say "Husaberg" on half of them somewhere on the back sides.

I have a pair of factory Blue "Husaberg" airbox side panels that cost me a whole 17 bucks a piece that fit my '15 FE 501. They match the $62.00 Blue "Husaberg" rear fender.

Also have a full set of "Acerbis" Black plastics too. That were under $110.00.

The 2017 model bikes should by then have probably all new plastics I would imagine. Even possibly with the new Enduro models having the new updated plastics and subframe designs, frame changes and engines from the new MX bikes. That would sort of make sense too, as they are finally taking on there own identity.

That makes sense. Though I should have specified the blue color of the graphics. I do get a chuckle though when I start pulling parts off my 15'. KTM here, Husqvarna there, Husaberg here lol. I decided to remove all the blue from my bike so tonight I'm picking up plain white/black shrouds and ordered a set of FE350 displacement stickers off a 14'.
