  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Pivot Pegz

I might benefit from a idea such as this.
I have very little movement of my right ankle and find it difficult to stab the brakes depending on the angle of my foot at the time.
If going downhill, it seems the pivot would put the pedal out of reach.

They've been around forever, and I've read reviews on KTMtalk many times. Seems they take a short while to get used to, then are generally well liked.

I've had mine for about three years and think they are great.Took me no time at all to get use to them.A couple of times I have accidentally stabbbed the rear brake because of the pivot.I feel I have a bit more control and they are easier on my ankles.

Love these pegs! Every bike of mine has a set. I seriously trashed my ankle a few years back. Ended up with 2 plates and 13 screws in it, severely hampering my range of motion. The footpegs make it much easier for me to shift, and I feel so much more planted on the bike when going up/down hills and through trail junk in general. They might feel a little weird at first, but after a few minutes you don't even notice it. I can't ride without `em now

I don't think it's necessarily a question of need. It's just different, like a lot of choices we make in setting up our bikes.
My husband Eric has no issues with his ankles or feet but he rode my bike and loved the pegs. He liked the way his feet stayed planted on the pegs regardless of what the bike was doing.
