  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

sorry about spelling!

Personally, I have tried them but I did not like a moving action and went back to a fixed peg.
I found they were great in whoops, better for gear changes but were too vague in overall feel, particularly cornering. If only they swivelled a little less and were firmer in the springing.

But there are others that love them.

I have them on my WR150 - moved them from the KX250 when I sold it. So I've been on them for around 5 years and it sure feels weird when I ride the 630 with standard pegs. It makes shifting and braking easier with my big feet.

I also believe that part of the pleasure people feel with Pivot Pegs is the larger platform itself.

They certainly help with really steep hill climbs and descents as they help you keep a little more neutral on bike. I fitted them to my TE310 and wouldnt go back. They also help if you suffer from lower back pain as i do because they help with keeping the neutral position and mean less energy expended.

i had them on my ktm 450xc and they did take some getting used to but after a few rides i liked them, like the other guy said it help me to shift and brake , big feet.
but i did have my foot come off the peg 2 times , scary sideways stuff!

I think that is part of it, but when I tried Fastway's I couldnt tolerate the wide peg without being able to pivot... but my feet arent very big. Ive only put about an hour on my Pivots, but so far Im liking them.
