• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Nice to see the SM's out playing in the dirt.

They really do make good dualsport/adventure tourers, don't they?

They sure do. My buddy " Donkey" was all worried about the street tires. He's a good rider and the street skins didnt slow him down much at all. Even when he went flying off a trail at 50 mph across the desert he did just fine.

Yeah, I'm always a bit surprised at what a good bike the SM has turned out to be for me. I went into it with a very specific purpose in mind, and it has fulfilled all my expectations and then some! It even works on trails, which I thought I'd never do on it...

My first race on Husky

...was a "GP" in HOT Morgan, TX on a 08 TE 450. It had tight single track, open grass fields, pavement, watercrossings, and we even rode through a barn!

I now have a 09 TXC 510 and plan on some off road riding in the NE. - Unadilla GNCC anyone??

2007 TC450 set up for XC with electric start, larger tank, Rekluse, Rooster rad and pipe guard, Motosportz skid plate, 7602 clutch cover and carb vent hoses, Up Tite 'Y' & axle nut, TM Designs chain guide, Cycra hand guards, Spal cooling fans, JD jet kit and Akropovic exhaust.

I know it's not the new frame and all, but man I like the looks of those '06-'07 thumpers when they are "set-up" for racing.

And you can even get a decent tank for them.
