• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

No, but not far from there, I think. This was between Silverwood and Arrowhead somewhere....... Pretty major water for me.....LOL
Well, it's all the same to me. We stage at Pinnacles take a run down to Silverwood, come back for lunch and do stuff up on that side. I generally stay away from White Mountain pass, Redondo Ridge and anything else that might make me work too much or fall over. I do like the singletrack that leads up to Devils Hole, but generally walk my bike through the crossing.

I think I met that guy with the 300/Rekluse/Christini.... Last year at Loyal's.... Older fella ?
Yep.....67
He'll tell you he's really slow, and does freeze up on some technical sections once in a while, but actually a decent rider.
I only hope I'm still riding where he does at 67

man you guys (and gals), some of those are definitly not water crossings,,,,,you guys are nuts, those are like stream/water riding,,,,up river and down!! wow great fotos, tough and rocky(my fave) but with the added fun addition of a foot and more of rushing water!! Plus the fun of having 15lbs per water logged boot to drag around. Great fotos! Thanks for the post

Ah the price we pay for perfect weather.Just kidding. That 2 inch deep creek can swell pretty quick at the right time of year.

Close. The first one is at Corral canyon,The second is about 15 miles due south from there, give or take.

Funny....I've ridden at Corral Canyon since 1981 (and I rode there last Monday) and the trail doesn't look familiar to me. And I have ridden every trail out there and I mean every, including the many that don't even exist anymore. I must be gettin old.:oldman:

It is the "greenhorn trail"I belive.way in the back by the dam.It kinda hidden, but by far one of the best trails out there.

Bikes were floating down it during the Sawmill Enduro in April of`03. Lots of folks lost their bikes at that race. We had to go out the next day and recover Eric's bike as it hydrolocked and bent the rod in two places. It took us almost 4 hours to tow it out of there. The snowmelt was considerable that time of year, and it had been raining non-stop all week and the ground was saturated. They ended up calling the race when blizzard conditions set in and bikes were floating away. I was never so happy to DNF a race. This is me at the start. Yes, the race started right at the creek, which had to be crossed about 6 times in less than 2 miles. I watered out twice and had to flip my bike over and pump the water out. That race was a dangerous mess. I wrote a poem about it...

Hey! Here's another Husky in the water! Do I get bonus points for having 2 females in the water, too?

Stroker, PV, that would be at the Miler Canyon T intersection with Pilot Rock. Crossed it on Thursday. I love riding up there. Did a 64 mile loop with my kids for my birthday, what a blast it was just me and my kids. Only ran across 5 other riders all day.

What is this "snow"you speak of?I think I've heard someone tell me about it.:smirk:
Would it be off topic to post some snow pics?
