• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Let's see some stickers in action!

Good heavens! You are definitely doing a torture test on the stickers! INSIDE the front fender?

Looks like they are holding up GREAT!

I'll be sure to let the guy know that printed them how well they are holding up  Fading is the other issue I'm concerned with, but I've seen none of that (yet).

Header Pipe protector

On the Cafe Husky stiker previer there is a glimpse of what looks like a bash plate/protector for the header pipe. Can anyone provide some info on that please-it looks sensible.

Cheers;

Glenn H.

Sadly, I don't have any, but if I did they would be tested rigorously like these ones. Can't put 'em on the rear fender. None of those ever do very well, due to a large amount of boot dragging by a short person on mounting and dismounting.:D

I made it out of similar diameter alum tube, drilled holes in it, cut it lengthwise and strapped it on using hose clamps. Keeps the rocks from dinging the crap out of the header nicely.

On the sticker: I should have said it's been there since the Baja ride in Feb. It's holding up VERY well! I've got some extra stickers, maybe I should drop them at Ron Bishops and Moto Forza to disburse.

Disburse me a couple on your way over, please.:D

Sometimes I wonder if anybody takes any pride in their work anymore. Take the "H" for example on Ruffus' front fender. Mine's cocked a bit too. It probably shouldn't matter since most of the competition is looking at the rear fender anyway!:)

Thanks to Coffee and Lairpost for some stickers.

Glad you got them, looks great!

Anyone else have pics of the stickers in use? Any unusual uses like patching a hole or hiding another sticker?
