• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Great Photo's! How was the race?

As always Endurocross is one of the best spectator sports there is. The racing was great and tons of action in every race. They need to work on the program a little, there was too much down time. The announcers need to do a better job explaining how you get to each race i.e. the amateur main, dash for cash and the night race. I could hear people around me asking how did they qualify to get in this or that race. I enjoy these races more than supercross.

Nick got a great start in his first heat race but in the rock turn someone stalled in front of him and he tried to go around the outside of him and got passed by several racers. They only take one rider to the main and he finished 5th. His next race was the amateur main and he was battling with Jake Argibright through the water hole and he spun his back tire on the wet log and lost his momentum and he still tried to climb out of the hole and crashed back into the water hole. He banged his elbow on the bottom of the pool and couldn't finish the race. We decided not to race anymore, too much pain. We consider making the night show a good night so no disappointment here. Next race Oklahoma.

I am, not for his riding but more of the person he has become.

I agree about the person part. :)

I talked to him again briefly in Ohio 8 days ago, he is slightly older than my son. Perhaps I will meet you at some point.
