• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I Picked this up Last year, My first husky. Then our Son wanted a WR 150 so we found a nice 09 from an inmate here and picked it up. Last month in Moab my Kawi 450 blew up so now Its being parted out and I picked up a 2012 WR 300 last week. I think I may have a problem, need a 12 step program, (Hello my name is Art and Im a motorcycle addict)

Just remember to get on your knees every morning and ask GOD to rid you of your character & motorcycle defects. We are here to help each other with our addictions and to not judge one another. Judging by your post, you might need a 30 day program my friend. Easy does it and one bike at a time, I mean one day at a time!

Damn Luke, that might look real pretty at the end, can't wait for the end results
BTW, if you take those rubber peg inserts out, the bike will "feel" a lot better...

What windscreen is that? How is the buffeting on the highway with it?

It is a converted BMW 650 Dakar screen - just shaped the bottom to match headlight. No buffetting on highway and one of the best small screens out there IMHO - and I say this as someone who is fussy about screens and still thinks the 1200 ADV screen is virtually the best (obviously for large duallies)! Important to retain space between screen and fairing for laminar airflow - most buffeting occurs when this space is too small or closed.

How are you attaching the coyote on the left side. I was thinking about getting one. I removed the passenger pegs so curious what to mount to. Also any details on your windscreen?

I also removed the pasenger pegs - one of the first things I did! I was originally going to use the squared bracket parts to make attachemnt points for the Cayote but have ended up (so far anyway) attaching to the frame on the RHS just below the airbox and on the LHS to the base of the footpeg. All worked great so far but may yet fine tune it.
