• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of your 610!

I know Toddler! Unpronounceable Todd :) That guy's a character. We rode with him in Utah 7 years ago. Cool dude! I'd love to ride with him again. We're thinking about doing a 3-week ride next summer to celebrate our 20th anniversary and we want to include Colorado. Maybe y'all can share some local knowledge and ride with us on a few rides?

HELL YEAH, just let us know when you plan to be here!

I figure I'd throw this on here because I NEVER saw a Husky, let alone a motorcycle, with a winch on it before!! It's FRAKING COOL**************************************** I was in Moab for the Rawhyde Adventure Challenge this past week and rapped it up with the WARN Winch guys, very cool cats BTW! We talked about all the cool stuff they've done to their Husky....which includes putting a winch on the back rack! The bike belongs to one of the guys and he says, "It's the perfect desert bike but I love it for just about everything!" He was telling me they have used that winch at the most random of times, mostly not from their own mishaps but from mishaps from others they run across!

something tells me the 22lb rating for the top rack gets exceeded...

You would think so........but the winch is 8lbs****************************************

It's also not anchored there.....it's removable!! If I didn't see the demo's they did I would think like you.

That Warn winch is awesome! I like the mini Warn tow straps they're using for the tank bag, too :)

There have been many times when I could have used a winch to haul my machine back up onto a trail. If anyone's ever ridden Idaho sidehill they'll know what I'm talking about :o

TE610.JPG Here is my 2008 TE610....Just picked it up Tuesday for $1,500....It was an impulse purchase. Haven't really ridden it much yet and I'm waiting for Motoxotica to send me a new clutch lever and cable. The rear tire is basically a slick, so I need to decide on what new tire before I do any real riding....I'm hoping I'll like it. I'm 42 and have always ridden XL/XR/CRF's.

Hello all. Im told this is a 2000 610 but would like your opinion. electric start with no kickstart. Left hand chain drive. it also has an edelbrock carb that Im told is a pumper? anyone cast any light on it? Also the wiring is in a shocking state, anyone out there tell me how to rewire it just to get the engine running? The bike is stolen a recovered, I have all the relevent paper work from VOSA and the police but none of them could tell me much more about the bike.

Those are a lot of questions for a bike picture thread, and you post could easily be missed.. maybe start up a new thread too?
