• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of my 630 Dream Machine!

Only plastics that will come black are the tank shrouds I believe. You can always paint...
I did. It didn´t come out all that well, as the Plasticoat is a bit rough. Am still looking for the black die that people here use to die plastic gun stocks.

Had I found those first, I might have gone with them, hopefully they'll fit in the factory location in the rear for you.
The Ebay ones are pretty dang bright, and you can see them from 90deg either way.

Is that brake light LED and is it the stock light for the 630?

Thanks,

Eric

Yes, that's the stock LED tail light for the 630. The stock blinkers are still incandescent, though, so I picked up a digital flasher relay for a KTM, which is plug and play with Husky.

Yea, some steep painted ones. Got a few scratches on the front fender and case but no biggie. This was later that day

I can tell you firsthand that a new stock fender, should the need arise, will only run you ~$25 from Halls. :)
Would a Hyde plate have saved your case scratches? That's the one thing I would put on that bike that you haven't already.

I'd like to get a fresh set of plastics for mine, at least tank shrouds and the rear end. The rest of mine is in pretty good shape.

None of mine are broken, but they are fairly scuffed up and full of ground in dirt that won't wash off.

At the very least,it might be a good idea to keep a spare set on hand.

Yeah, my left tank shroud is pretty scuffed from gravel/dirt, and the tank shrouds are the only thing I didn't plasti-dip since they were already black...
