• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

pics and age of left kicker riders?

the more i get into these bikes i find everyone is amazed at my age..im currently 32 and got my first husky at 16..a 79 250wr..by the time i figured out the 79 and the left kicker nuances i was hooked...i know it seems weird at my age since by the time i was old enough to know anything about them the italians had basically threw out the swedes...i just cant explain itme.jpg

i bought this xc from a guy who had an old dealership..bought it as NOS back in my senior year of high school..which was 99-00! i still have and enjoy it. cant imagine getting rid of it. i remember lusting after it sitting in the corner as i got service tips from the old dealer or got parts from his old shelfs..just as im sure some of you lusted after a 74 MAG while riding a honda 90 or some jap ride...
this pic was from last summer by the way..the high points are starting to need a resole, lol

While I won't post a pic since I talk to you every day, I am 26 years old and always rode an atv until I was 21. I took a 88 250 for a ride and immediately knew I had to have a Swedish bike. Since last May I sold two honda cr 250's purchased a 2008 wr250 purchased a 87 430 and recently sold the 08 to get the 430 built into a great woods bike. Wish I could keep them all but I'm not wealthy by any means. I plan to make a thread in vintage restoration file soon. Lots of pics for viewing coming!
