  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

As most of you knew I went and picked up my new (left over) 08 Husky CR 125 today. When my son and I got back we begain the break in process. Well first of I want to say thanks to members on this site I was able to pick up the CR in the first place. Second this bike is a blast to ride!!! It is so different than my 09 HUsky TXC 510 other than the name there is no compairson other than the general riding position. And that to me is a good thing. The CR 125 feels like a mountain bike with a 2 stroke motor strapped under it. This thing "feels" lighter than the spec sheet. All you members who said I would like it can now pat yourselves on the back; you were correct I love it. I have some quick pics.a nd I would post them but I don't know how LOL. Thanks for your help and now I will begin bugging you for more info on this featherweight blaster.

Congrats and enjoy

Now I need to decide if I want to join the 125 crowd and quick so I can get one of them 08s also.

Good deal! We need to have a Husky 125 gathering/ride sometime. All 125's all the time, with 135 and 144's welcome too.:busted:

Do it you'll like it! I can't wait to really let this thing go. Thanks guys. If someone wants and can you are welcome to post up my pics. I sure can't.
