  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Picked up a 99 wr 360 in a trade just needs a rebuild. Going to set it up for flattrack during the summer and ice racing in the winter. Its a shame to not use it in the woods I'm sure its a killer woods bike but need lots of power on the track. Is there anything special I should know about these bikes that was a issue?20130421_111946.jpg

you beautie, nope just make sure yout thourgh with the rebuild an your away, yup woods riding is good im still building up stamina for endurance but almost as nimble as 250.

looks nice:thumbsup:

they make terrible flat trackers. so ya need to send it to me for a good home in the mountains...

congrats you lucky devil.

Keep us 1999 2t guys in mind for spares if you start swapping off stuff for newer parts! Don't say what it cost you, it'll break my heart!

It may break your heart that I have $100 into it but you will feel better cuz I paid 6k for a wr144 two months ago and now they ar 4k lol can't win all the time.

he'll get it back, cause once its built, it is a rocket ship that will pay him back in smiles and miles. Awesome find for HONDO, Franklin, Cien, etc. Very cool.

I like putting the carb out there in the slipstream for the ram air effect, and that infinite displacement cylinder will put out gobs of horsepower.

My only complaint on my 99 360 is kicking it as it has lots of compression
Need an auto decompressor to ease starting unlike the pre 97 they are easier to kick

no
work got in the way, but the auto decompressor is in my plans
found kicking it like you meant it is the best way, the 93 is such a dream to kick I get annoyed when I have both with me
did you get yours finished yet?

yup and it works a charm need to work on a remote reset but thats it, thought if your auto decomp an stall it in a river crossing its just going to suck water into the cylinder... no help to me, i am stubborn tho an i dont mind reaching under the tank to reset.

Of course, in a few weeks you'll be into it for $3500 that you can never get back!

Top end parts are expensive and kinda hard to get. Also these are fast but more of a lugger. I think a WR300 is just as fast maybe faster as they rev quicker. Then again I might be very wrong. My 360 was good but almost like a 4 stroke.

tehy are luggable motors but i see a bloody steep hill an i know for dam sure im the first on up it looking down at the high revers with no cutch control spinning up an falling down:thumbsup: i love the luggability, ive never struggled to keep up its keeping the front down thats the trouble
