• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey all. I recognize most of you guys from TT. I guess I joined here a while ago but never came back to post. I've been focusing on my ATK and KDX (don't laugh!) so the Huskys haven't been getting much love from me lately.

I have been riding the snot out of the 2000, and after I post up a few pics I'm gonna put on the forks that just got new seals and the rear wheel that just got a new tire. Looks like a great site.

I've been an avid single cam rider since '93. Here's some photos of my bikes over the years:

My first Husky in '93 at Honda valley Hesperia. It was a 350WXE that had an Uptie exhaust, Scotts suspension, and a Baja Designs DS kit and plate on it by the time I got rid of it.

Bought it at the end of April '10 with just under 2000 miles on it.
100 miles later, the camshaft broke.

What broke off was small, but it split into two pieces which fell down inside the engine and into the stator, where they bounced around causing more damage. The camshaft cost about $200, the stator was twice that.

But it's fixed now and with the much lighter wallet, I can ride that much faster. :)

Since I have no illusions of ever racing, I figured I may as well use the number plates for something...

and no, MNB is not my initials. Long story short, it's short for ManNBlack.

I'm working on getting some Cycras for it. I tried installing some Fastway pegs, but the inner sleeve was too long. I filed it down, but either filing created a flange I need to remove or the inner diameter is too wide for the pin to fit through. If all fails, pivot pegz here I come!

Here's my 2 410's 1996 WXC410 wired for the street. I put about 8-9000 miles a year on this bike. And the other one is a 1999 TE410 that I raced for 3 years in southern Nevada and working on getting it street legal too.
